Organizers prepared one more world-class heavyweight bout on December 1, for the MMA fans in Novi Sad, our country and the entire region, SBC heavyweight Title fight – the best fight we could have ever wished for!
People at SPENS Great hall in Novi Sad will have a rear privilege to watch a true MMA legend from Japan, Satoshi Ishi, who will face one of the most experienced American fighters, Tony “Kryptonite” Lopez!
When it comes to Satoshi Ishi, there is not much to say that a true MMA fan does not already know – he is one of the best judokas of Japan ever, and among all the gold medals he won in his own country and competitions all over the world, Satoshi reached his peak (a highest goal any athlete can reach in any sport) and won the Olympic gold medal in Judo, national sport of Japan!
After that he build up his name by competing in the best world MMA promotions where he had a chance to fight true legends of the sport, champions of biggest world organizations – Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Tim Sylvia, Jeff Monson, Pedro Rizzo, Fedor Emelianenko, and the best known name in this part of the world, MMA legend, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic!
Satoshi Ishi found new strength and motivation in Croatia and trainings in legendary Cro Cop Team. Huge experience that this warrior from Japan owns, together with trainings with Mirko Filipovic, one of the all time best, and his team, only makes Satoshi improve even more and prove to us that can reach the highest top of the MMA world!
Next big fight that he will have will take place in Novi Sad, Serbia at Serbian Battle Championship 19 and he will try to reach his 18th professional MMA victory and get the SBC Title belt! His oponent will be a true American professional athlete who has had impressive number of 91 fights throughout his career so far, Tony “Kryptonite” Lopez!
Lopez also had his fair share of top quality competition he faced all around the world – Konstantin Gluhov, Joe Doerksen, Jeremy Horn, Jeff Monson, Houston Alexander, Ilir Latifi, Alexey Oleinik, are just some of the names this brave American fighter confronted, and he will come to Serbia in his attempt to get a new championship belt and an impressive 62nd pro win!
